A Letter for December
Dear FIG Friends,
I love the month of December. The weather has turned chilly, the days have grown shorter which means it is a good reason to find time to get inside and get cozy. Sitting fireside , baking lots of treats and cooking in the kitchen are high on the priority list for me during this month. Even though this month is full of activities , and parties, and reason to celebrate it doesn't mean I have to feel stressed or overwhelmed.
As I have gotten older I have learned to lean into the fact that there are only so many hours in a day and instead of looking at that as a negative I have turned it into a positive. It beckons me to live in the moment and free myself from thinking I have to complete my forever long to-do list. I have learned to find comfort in not completing the list and just carrying it over to the next day and giving myself grace that what needs to be completed will be completed eventually - I am human after all , not a robot.
I remind myself to do everything I can to the best of my ability, and to remember the gift of people and that prioritizing them far outweighs my productivity to fulfill my list of to-do's. My hope is to begin and end the month with a smile on my face, gratitude in my heart , and people to cherish and love. I hope the same for you too!
