A Home Built for Gathering

We believe home is meant to be shared.

That tables don’t need to be styled to be meaningful.
That meals made from scratch—even simple ones—carry care.
That lighting a candle on an ordinary night can change the way a room feels.

We believe nothing in a home should be too precious to be enjoyed, and everyone who enters should feel comfortable enough to stay.

Caring for your home should not look like perfection. Home is the place to reset, relax , and find respite. People first. That is my motto and this means that there are rooms in my house that are not tidy and if you stopped by any given day, you would find piles or stacks that need to be tended to. I will be honest with you , I didn't always allow myself the freedom to have unkempt places in my home. I would kill myself staying up until the wee small hours of the morning to make sure when the sleeping house woke, there would not be anything left out or out of place. As the years passed, I learned that it was ridiculous to literally lose sleep just to make sure everything was in tip top shape. This was pressure I was putting on myself. It did not come from the outside. It came from within. Places in my heart and mind needed healing and it was through seeking God's word that I found peace and comfort from past hurts and tragedies. I do love a clean house and I do love order and structure but not to the detriment of losing precious sleep or missing out on being with people I love and care about.

I think all of us have a longing in our hearts for home. I know it was placed there by the Lord because ultimately our craving is from Him and for Him. He is my home. And my physical home is hopefully a reflection of His character and His attributes. That of love , peace, gentleness, kindness, mercy and grace. That is the goal. That all who gather here will experience His goodness.
